How long does setup take?
About 20–30 minutes with one person. The frame snaps together with built-in spring clips and the cover attaches from inside the shelter.
Will it hold up to wind and snow?
Yes. Six reinforced tie-down points anchor the shelter in high winds, and the 16-gauge square-tube steel frame supports over 150 lbs of snow.
Is it a hard-shell motorcycle storage pod?
No, and that's on purpose. A Speedway Shelter is a 16-gauge square-tube steel frame with a heavy 600D urethane-coated polyester cover and fully taped seams. The frame holds 150+ lbs of snow, the clamshell cover rolls back for full access to your bike, and if the cover ever wears out you replace just the cover, not the whole pod. See all the features.
How is it different from a motorcycle shed or storage tent?
A shed needs a foundation, a weekend of building, and sometimes a permit, and it stays where you build it. A pop-up storage tent goes up fast but uses a lighter round-tube frame and thinner fabric. A Speedway Shelter sits in between: one person sets it up in about 30 minutes on a driveway, patio, or wooden base, it locks, it holds 150+ lbs of snow, and it comes with you when you move.
Can I lock it?
Yes. Locking hardware is welded to the frame so you can lock the shelter closed for security and wind protection.
Will my Harley touring bike fit?
Yes. The Touring Shelter (136" L × 54" W × 77.75" H inside) fits full-dress Harley-Davidson touring bikes with saddlebags and a full windshield, plus Gold Wings. For a trike or two bikes, choose the Deluxe Shelter.
Can I store my motorcycle outside in winter?
Yes. A Speedway shelter keeps rain, snow, and UV off your bike, and the steel frame supports 150+ lbs of snow. Add rubber flooring to keep the bike off cold, damp ground, and follow your usual winterizing steps like a battery tender and fuel stabilizer.
